Extension renumbering 1

i am using a Lecent Merlin Legend phone system and need to change info on an extention.

I have an extention that is set up for voicemail only and want to add a phone.

how do i do this?

I think i need to change the logical id or port or something.

If I am understanding correctly, you have a "virtual" extension with a voice mail box associated with it, and now you want to make a real, physical phone with that extension number.

You need to renumber the new extension to the old virtual number, but first you need to get rid of the old number.

Did you use an adjunct to create the virtual extension? If so, first renumber it to its original number in set-up-space, then renumber the new physical phone to the number you want.

You will also need to reassign the extension to the Voice Mail Cover Group, and remove the adjunct.
