We have a problem with a site that only dials 7 digits for a local call while the rest dial 10 digits. We originally were on two clusters and converted them into one cluster. When they dial 9,748-4242 they end up at extension 9748 which is a valid extension in our system. I have looked at the route patterns and CSS and compared them to other sites that do work when dialing 7 digits and I don't see a problem.

Anyone have any ideas as to what to look at to fix this?

If you have extensions that start with '9' you won't be able to use '9' as an access code to dial out. You may be able to do some digit manipulations but I'd have to know more about the system dial plan to see if it's possible.

I would agree that you would need to set your outgoing digit to say (8) or whatever is not being used... Because the extension number is shorter is has a better match to the extension....

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.
