I have an office with a Magix R3 V7.0 and they are using 4412D+ phones. Is there a code they can press that identifies what extension they are sitting at? I had them try to call another extenison to see if it appears on the receiving phone's display and the main number appeared. I also had them try speaker #00 and Feature 00 and neither of those worked either.

I apologize for this question which seems to be pretty straight forward.

How many extensions does the office have and is there a DSS 4450 connected to the system?

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

There is probably an easier way, but I'll offer this one up.

If you have access to WinSPM, there is an option that allows you to see what kind of digital telephone is at each extension.

Do an inventory with the all the extensions connected, then unplug the extension in question and check the inventory again to see which extension is now missing.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

We don't have a DSS and there are roughly 20 extensions in the office.

I do have access to WinSPM. Do you have the step by step instructions on how to do the digital phone inventory?

I don't have WinSPM loaded on my office computer, but I do on my home computer so I can check on that tonight. Someone might have the procedure available and chime in sooner. [smile]

If you think of it please do.

I was told by someone else to have the user press the menu button, go to More, and then go to Program and it should show the extension on the display. I am still waiting on the user to see if it works.

Menu, More, then Prog will indeed bring the phone into programming mode as well as state the extension in the display.

Try that procedure. It will be much easier than what I was thinking of.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
