extension not defined

I'm a norvice at best.

I've plugged a phone(ext 136) in and can make outbound calls but when an inbound call to ext 136 is made the system answers with 'extension not defined'.

Any ideas,

What type of voice mail do you have?

That is where you are getting that message.

 
Extension not defined" means that a call made its way, down the coverage path, and into the Audix, and it doesnt know what to do with the call (no matching mailbox, nothing in the routing table). If you just dont want calls going to voicemail, take the extension out of the VM coverage group.
