Extension not called from external dial

Is there a way i could limit an extension to be only called from others extensions and not direcly from external calls. So when someone calls and hear the message to press the extension that extension wont be available unless, that call is tranfered from the receptionist.

You will have to delete reference to that extention in your greetings/directories as anounced for a caller. If the caller knows the ext No. the ext may still be dialed. This can't be stopped.

Sorry only way is to remove the phone's mail box

that extension does not has mailbox, all i want to do is if the receptionist wants to dial ext 254 it will be available. But if someones call from outsite the company and when the autoanswer is talking press 254 it will says that the extension is not available.

no way to do it...change extension and and not tell user ... there is no way to restrict from incomming ext transfer from aa/vm
