We have to get extension mobility running on our call manager test site but i does not seem to work
we have configured extension mobility according the cisco
documentation but when i try to logon to the service on the ip phone the screen is blank
and when i take a look in control center under Tomcat WEb Service it says "Cisco Extension Mobility N/A Activated "
we are sure that the config of ext mob is OK but it doesnt seem to work. is there a Bug in CCM 4.0(1) or is there something else we overlooked.

Please Help

Don't know about any bugs in 4.0 (we skipped that version), but under the Extension Mobility service created under CCMAdmin - Feature - Cisco IP Phone Services, is the URL pointed at a CCM that has the Extension Mobility service running (it's not pointed at a CCM that has EM deactivated, as shown in CCM Serviceability)?

The URL should look something like:

Also, you've configured your device profiles and associated those profiles with the correct user account?

And one more thing - is your publisher CCM up and running? Regardless of where you point the EM service to, your publisher must be up and running since it needs to write the login/logout changes that EM makes to the master database...

Also - you don't get any errors at the bottom of the screen when this happens? Nothing like, "Error: [100]"?

The URL you are pointing to is typed exactly in the phone ip service menu and all the device profiles and default profiles are configured and subscribed to the extension mobility service
Ccm is up and running and working fine exept Extension mobility cant get it to run.
could it have something to do with Tomcat??

I've not run 4.01 because I heard it was EXTREMELY buggy. I'm running 4.02 with EM and have no problems. Cisco will tell you to go to 4.02 if you call them. Since you seem to be doing a new implementation, that would be my suggestion also. I've heard nothing but bad things about 4.01. We are actually running 4.02 sr2b.

Thnx

Ill try to get a copy of the CCM 4.1 callmanager
from our other location, to set up a new testLab
we need extension mobility and MOH multicast.
Both wont work with CCM 4.0(1) i dont want to lose more time with the same problems with a 4.0 CCM version,
thats why i want to try the 4.1 version
