Extension Lights

Again, phones are not my cup of tea. Our receptionist left so I'm trying to figure this out with help.
I initialized an extension (x35)and added its mail box, ext 35. So far so good - that works.
Now, when you pick up handset at ext 35 the red light does not come on throughout the system indicating that ext is busy. It comes on at that hand set (X35)and X10 only. All the other extensions indicate on (red light) when the handset is picked up and is indicated/shown on all extensions. All are 34D handsets.
Hope that makes sense to someone and it is a simple fix.

Program an Auto Intercom button for x35 at each of the other phones.

At the phone,

Feature 00
Press the blank button to be programmed
Press the Left hand Intercom button
Dial 35
Feature 00

(If you normally use Voice-Announce when calling from phone to phone within your office, dial *35 instead of just 35)
