Hi all!
I've got a bit of a problem with programming a function that has been asked of me, hopefully you guys can helpy me as you are all so good at this
What they want is the user can dial ext 6666 from any handset in the building and it flashes on a set key on a users handset. The user can then use this key to answer the call. Although there is currently one user they may want more to be able to take the call.
The 6666 extension would be an internal only extension so no externals calls should be coming through to it.
I have tried setting up a hunt group with the extension number with no-one in it and then mapping the h/g to a handset key but this doesnt work. I also looked through voicemail settings but cant find anything that seems relevant.
Am I missing something really obvious? I'm sure it cant be a request that has not been heard before so I'm looking for a bit of help please!
The switch is a 3300ICP running 7.1 software using embedded VM. The handsets are 5212's and 5215's. Any other info I've missed, I'll gladly supply.
Many thanks!!
Steve
