LCR or should I say ARS is all set and fine, BUT they are wanting Extension level billing. Is this an easy thing to set. Customer is going to be really funny about down time, so not to keen about them not being able to get out side lines.

what exactly do you mean? you want to charge fo out going
calls. you want to set up call a accounting system?

Our LCR providers are able to bill at a per extension level.

they just turn it on in software on there end

lee what kind of trunking is on this system?btw you relize
there is only a handful of tda guys that post here
and it is hard to know how your configuiration is with out
telling us and if they are straight pots lines i don't see how they could do ext billing with out the end user
adding a account code before a call is placed!isdn on the other hand may be different.

It is ISDN 30. Currently pre fixing 162 before dialling.

we do it over by switching on the ext cli ...(use the ext ddi for billing )

Yeah thats how we do it. Prefix isn't really an issue, just need to make sure that the outgoing ID is independant for each station (ext cli). Carrier does ext level billing and each ext cli appears on the bill. Match the ddi to the number on the bill and theres you ext level billing

If you want Extension billing you will need a modify code of CIH in your ARS. All you need to do then is with Extension settings make sure that your ARS itemised code matches what your carrier expects (usually 3 digit extension number)

Hope this helps
