Extension In Use

Hi all,

First time poster here. I have a new IPO and getting the phones to correctly see my dhcp server, it gets to the point of extension login and no matter what extension i put it it bounces me back adn says "extension in use: XXXX Press Continue to take over this extension.

I press continue, the main phone menu appears for 2 seconds then i get the same message again.

I tried removing H.323 Auto Create Extn and that has not helped.

Please help!! Thanks!

The extension is probably assigned to a digital or analog phone port already.

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

sometimes when this happens you can delete the extension and the user and then re add and it works. maybe not the best way but it has worked for me

Hi,
witch Ext.typ you have greate for the User? SIP or H323. If you selected SIP the specify problem persist.
