We moved a conference phone unit to another meeting room with another extension.
The extension used previously was 528.
From this extension, we could:
1. Call other extensions (internally).
2. Receive calls from other extensions.
3. Make calls to outside numbers (my cell phone for example).
4. Receive calls from the outside (once proper auto-attendant selections were made).
The extension now used is 430.
After I changed the restriction status to "Unrestricted", we can do all of the above, except:
4. Receive calls from the outside (once proper auto-attendant selections are made).
I make it to the auto-attendant where I am prompted to enter an extension. When I do enter an extension (430 in this case), I hear a voice that says:
"Your call cannot be transfered to extension 4-3-0"
I printed out extension information. Still puzzled though,
430 settings are almost identical to those of 528.
Ext 430 has something like:
SS/PP
12/10
Ext 528 like:
SS/PP
13/8
Ext 430 has:
Allowed lists: 7
Ext 528 has no allowed lists listed.
I thought the number ranges (200s, 300s, 400s, 500s) might have been programmed differently and compared x430 with x432 - which CAN receive incoming calls after the caller selects the correct auto-attendant choices.
x432 has the following settings that are absent in x430:
Coverage Group: 30
Group Coverers: 770
x432 also has "Allowed Lists: 7" like x430 but unlike x528
x430 was associated with a room (for emergency calls) and was not associated with a particular user. I believe it had no box for voicemail. x432 does have voicemail.
So what could prevent x430 from receiving incoming calls? Circuit has to be OK since it can now call out (now that I lifted restrictions)
Anyone?
