All,
I am taking over for someone who started a project to extend the Norstar Meridian PBX out to two satellite offices. One of the sites was setup, but I had to make configuration changes to get it to work. Now I am going onto the second site. I knew going in that problems existed because the Gateway shows the new site ports on the Gateway (3 and 4) as "NC", "Port is enabled but there is a bad connection to the PBX/KSU or phones."
When I try to connect, I get:
From Extender
0 days + 00:29:32: PORT ERROR: 2)Connect Error, Assigned Port (4) offline
From Gateway
Sep 25 11:53:06: PORT ERROR: 4)Disconnect, Local SSP offline
On Phone
Connect Error Assigned Port Down
I want to be sure that the issue does not reside in the MCK hardware and that the issue is with the Norstar system or the wiring of the two lines. I am by no means an expert with Norstar Administration, but I can look for issues in the setup of the lines.
My hope is that someone on this forum will be able to nudge me in the right direction.
Regards,
