We are using these 3 modules to create forms which ourwarehosue uses to ship.

I am currently examing our processes here and was wondering if someone else is very familar with these.

Before I go crazy investigating, I just wanted to be sure that this does not sound out of the ordinary or can MAS 200 create shipping documents and select sales orders to print as pick sheets (or packinglists) on its own.

We run into many issues and they many of them seem to lead back either soemone not running these correctly or tables getting out of wack. I am constantly rolling back files and/or re-linking/re-initializing/re-sorting to get things functioning.

Thanks

We are using these 3 modules" - What three modules are you talking about?

"was wondering if someone else is very familar with these." - What are "these"? These what?

"can MAS 200 create shipping documents and select sales orders to print as pick sheets (or packinglists) on its own." - There has to be some sort of user intervention. MAS will not just sit there and crank out documents whenever you think it should. It does not work by teleknysis. A user has to select a sales order or a range of sales orders to print pick tickets and then a user has to ship and indicate what was on hand and when finished a user has to print the packing list as needed.

"many of them seem to lead back either soemone not running these correctly" - If you do not run a procedure or feature correctly you will have to accept the results. Nothing can change this. You cannot expect correct results from incorrect procedures.

"tables getting out of wack. I am constantly rolling back files and/or re-linking/re-initializing/re-sorting to get things functioning." - Unfortunately this is somewhat a given. Your best way to avoid this is to make sure that two competing processes are not happening at the same time. For example if A/R is updating SO Invoice batches you should not have shipping creating new batches and entering data. Have shipping halt data entry for a few mintues while A/R updates. Set definate times for A/R to update.

In your header you have the words "Extended Solutions" but you really did not explain how this fits into your post.

Sorry, they were listed in the header... the extended solutions we are using are:

1-On Demand
2-Pick Sheet
3-Enhanced SO Header UDF

This should clear up the confusion. I do have different dept opening batches with no regard other dept. I will immediatly get a scedule in place.

If you are asking if MAS can do what these enhancements do on it's own, then the answer is No. The purpose of the first enhancement as far as I can tell is to generate a picking list, generate the invoice and print the packing list all in one process. MAS cannot do this, hence the enhancement.
