There is a documented issue that WebFocus has trouble displaying extended ASCII characters correctly on reports. Is there a service pack to resolve the problem or a work around? I need to put ® in a title, but it currently returns as ® instead.

Please duplicate the problem using the CAR file and display the code here. Then someone may respond.

Can you provide WHERE this problem is documented? I tried the following, using 174 as the ASCII value representing your desired character:

Code:
-SET &CIRCLER = HEXBYT(174,'A1');
TABLE FILE CAR
"CIRCLE R = &CIRCLER "
PRINT COUNTRY AS 'LAND,&CIRCLER,ORIGIN'
END

since you wanted to put the character in a title, and I wasn't sure whether you meant page title or column title. What I got was:

PAGE 1

CIRCLE R = ®

LAND
®
ORIGIN
ENGLAND
JAPAN
ITALY
W GERMANY
FRANCE
