Extend WAG54G with WRT54G

Hi everybody
I have a WAG54G network running well apart from upstairs in the house where the signal strength is not very good I have tried all the channels to no avail. Now I have a WRT54G doing nothing. My question is, is it possible to use the WRT in a suitable position so that the PCs upstairs will use the WRT for its signal.
