Ok here is my hainous scenario.... Just inherited a site, and I wanted to implement a standard from another site. Here they have lets say a dn 3202 from there they count up three for the rollover, as you can imagine this is bad since now they are using DID's from there dialing plan..."Dont ask" what I wanted to do was add 703202 as the rollover freeing up the used DID's Thing is it SCH0371 me saying "a shorter Directory number already exists... is I know there is a way of allowing this..Any input is much appreciated Thanks in advance

You have to print up the short dn to find where its programmed, try printing 7 or 70 to see, could be a cdp or something.

that's pretty much it, ld 20 prt ludn will give you a list of all vacant dn's.. might need to clean up some database before you can use that 7x group..ld 20 prt dnb 7 will print everything begaining with 7

If 7 is taken, why not just add another 3. When I blew the banks wanna be dialing plan away and started with new did's, I kept the ext 4 digit 2xxx, then for the rollover just added a 3 (32xxx)

another way to save dn's

key 0 mcr 4444
key 1 mcr 4444

works but people need to get used to using a pbx

Verify you have "DNXP" package 150 - otherwise I think 4 digits is all you can get. I seem to remember that error message when the real issue was not having the software option

If the software release is 3.0 or high DNXP is a standard package and doesn't need to be purchased any longer.
