I have an IP Office SOE in my location, and hardware vpn setup between my location and a remote employee. He is currently using an IP hardphone. He wants to know if I can extend an analog line to him, so he can attach a modem and call out of the SOE in my location as all of our clients are local to my location. Someone recommended a Sipura VoIP gateway, will that work directly with the IP Office or will I need two?

Thanks

Modem calls will almose certainly fail over a VoIP link due to compression.
you "may" be able to get it to work if you use a Transparent 64k connection, but i wouldnt garantee it
