Two weeks ago and last night one of our phones left a voicemail on another phone in the middle of the night around 3am. No one was working so there would not have been someone in the office to make the call. Both times the voicemail went to the same extension. The voicemails were a couple of minutes long and there's no sound on the voicemails. I don't know where to start on this one other than contacting my pbx vendor. Does anyone have some troubleshooting tips for me? Thank you.

NEC SV9100. the two extensions are net linked.

When you retrieved the message, did you use the option to read back the CID? Did the phone show any CID? Call history?
How often does this happen?

Thank you for helping me with this. The person that received the voicemail forwarded me the email with the voicemail, time of call, duration of the call and caller id. The caller id on the voice mail was the extension of the phone that made the call, not an outside line. There is no call history around the time the voice mail was left. This happened last night and two weeks ago.

It sounds like the call was made internally from that extension. If you have PCPRo, log in and look at the last 10 calls made from that extension. MB 93-04.

I must not have gotten to it quickly enough. This extension has already made more than 10 calls since the mysterious voice mail call.
