ext SCSI device

I've got a problem with an external VideoRAID storage device running on a RH6.2 server. If the server's left on for a couple of days it seems to lose the connection to the SCSI device and only a reboot will reconnect it again. Sounds a bit like a power save feature but there's nothing in the BIOS, and I'm a bit new to Linux so not sure how to find RHs power save.

Any ideas????????
