Ext. Phone beeping

Customer has Partner R.7 ACS with Partner Messaging, they have a ext. phone that continues to beep, I found in the program that line 8 was assignned to this phone and this customer does not have a line 8. I tried to un-assign line 8 for that ext. with #301 it shows it is un-assign, but when you go into central-program and check the button it show's outside line 8 (which seams odd the way the button is labeled) and I can not get rid of that button. I am guessing that this is why the phone is beeping. Any help will be much apprectiated.

MLS phones used to do this .

The phone type is a Partner 6 Button display, this is very odd I have never seen this problem before.

Try going into #104 and default the lines. enterthe number of lines you have. REMEMBER, this will change any ringing on all phones. That should get rid of that line 8.

Just a thought.

oh, maybe before that, try #728 and restart the system.

Are you sure the extension you are programming and the phone you are using are the same extension number. Plug a display phone in that location and hit feature 00 check extension number then touch all the buttons on the phone and see what lines are programmed on it.
