I need help! I have a nested iif statement in an unbound text box. There are 7 iifs and and 1,129 character. The iif statements I have been using have been working fine. Well I went into them to change something just like a 12 to a 13. When I try to get out of it and save, it is giving me an error message of "AN EXPRESSION CAN'T BE LONGER THAN 2,048 CHARACTERS" but it is not that long. Can any one help me. Also since the initial design of the iif statements I have had to have office re installed. Don't know if there is any connection or not just FYI!!

SHAWNDRA,

Unsure about your exact problem, but an iif statement nested 7 levels makes me cringe a bit. This would be much better re-written in code. Is it used in a form / query / report? Please elaborate. Also post a copy of the statement, and I / someone will lave a look at it.

wonder if perhaps you i.e. swiped over the 2, typed a 3, then hit the enter/return key? been there done that.....

another suggestion...if you have a backup of your db, and i KNOW you do, just import in the 'good' one.....
