Expression Engine Internal Error when running Impromptu report

I am running Impromptu 7.1 MR2 against Oracle 9.2.0.4. I get error number -239 when running an Impromptu report with a concatenated field in a report picklist prompt. The error message reads:
DMS-E-General, A general exception has occurred during operation 'prepare request with options'.
EXPENG-E-INTERR, There is an Expression Engine Internal Error at eegenic.C:355.
I have modified the Impromptu.ini and cogdmor.ini files suggested via faq401-5086 on this forum without any luck.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
