In an old version of access (97 I think) I used to be able to right click in a code window then select “build”. This was great for finding control names or procedures in other forms without having to open the form and copy and paste the required name.

I am now using Access 2003 and can no longer invoke the expression builder in a code window.

I am sure that there is a new and better way to do this but I have not found it.

Thanks for any assistance.

Neil.

You can always type
Code:
Me.
and intellisense will give you a list of control names and such. If you use a good naming convention you will only need to type one or two letters and you'll have the whole list right there.

Hope this helps,

Alex

Ignorance of certain subjects is a great part of wisdom

Hi Alex,

I may not have explained correctly. The me keyword will only refer to controls within the form you are working in.
I need (or would like) a quick way to refer to controls in other forms. I used to be able to accomplish this with expression builder but it is no longer available in a code window.

Thanks.
