Express Metrix install issue

Hi all,

I've searched the site and don't find a forum devoted to the Express Metrix package so I'm posting my question here. If there is a more appropriate place, please point me in the right direction.

We have recently purchased Express Metrix - an desktop inventoring and control package. I've got the administrative console installed and it's discovered our Active Directory schema. I'm trying to push the client install out to my machine as a test and it keeps failing with the messate "The RPC server is unavailable".

I've verified that the RPC service is running. Does anyone have any experience with Express Metrix that might be able to help me with this issue?

Actually, I just got off the phone with the Express Metrix tech people. From the Express Metrix console, any attempt to push a client install to a machine failed with the RPC server message.

However, from the file menu, if you selected Machines, then push client install, then put in the IP of the destination machine, it worked okay.

So it now appears the machine name install error may be some sort of internal DNS issue that needs resolved.
