I have to export many reports into Excel for Executive Management to use with Excel Pivot Tables. However, when I export, each row (group) only has a single data element (as in Row 1):

Row1 Row2 Total 6/6 6/13 6/20 6/27
Emp Emp 1 43 - - 40 3
Emp 2 43 30 6 8 -
Emp 3 41 33 - 8 -
Emp 4 62 - - 8 54
Emp 5 40 4 1 16 20
Emp 6 44 31 1 12 -
Emp 7 41 - - 8 33
Emp 8 46 30 8 8 -
Vendor Ven 1 43 - - 40 3
Ven 2 42 24 8 10 -
Ven 3 32 24 - 8 -
Ven 4 34 - - 10 24
Ven 5 35 4 2 10 20
Ven 6 34 20 2 12 -

For the pivot table to work, I need each row (group) to contain the data in row 1:

Row 1 Row 2 Total 6/6 6/13 6/20 6/27
Emp Emp 1 43 - - 40 3
Emp Emp 2 43 30 6 8 -
Emp Emp 3 41 33 - 8 -
Emp Emp 4 62 - - 8 54
Emp Emp 5 40 4 1 16 20
Emp Emp 6 44 31 1 12 -
Emp Emp 7 41 - - 8 33
Emp Emp 8 46 30 8 8 -
Vendor Ven 1 43 - - 40 3
Vendor Ven 2 42 24 8 10 -
Vendor Ven 3 32 24 - 8 -
Vendor Ven 4 34 - - 10 24
Vendor Ven 5 35 4 2 10 20
Vendor Ven 6 34 20 2 12 -

Anyone know a way to accomplish? I have to use a crosstab for the date ranges.
Thanks

Why are you exporting a REPORT (xtab) into Excel as a basis for yet another REPORT (pvt table)?

Why not pivot in Excel, using the SAME SOURCE/criteria as you are using for your CR?

Skip,

[glasses]Just traded in my old subtlety...
for a NUANCE![tongue]

Try making the unique field Row #1 instead of Row #2. In other words, reverse their order.
