Hi all,

In FW MX, i have created a name/logo on a transparent canvas, but when i've exported the document as a .gif, the canvas has exported as a standard white canvas. Can someone tell me how i can export canvases so that they are transparent when imported into Dreamweaver MX?

Thanks.

choose alpha or index transparancy when you export the image. Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..

hello 2760,

I'm VERY new to Fireworks/Dreamweaver so I'm not sure if this will help at all - I had the same problem with the transparent image being exported as white on some animation this morning.

I'd tried export wizard but nothing seemed to work - either a white background with all 3 colours of my graphic or only 2 colours with a transparent background ??? Why???

I checked the Optimize panel & it has chosen No. of colours as 2, the next option up being 4. I changed this myself to 3 and problem solved.

Maybe I was just lucky, but check how many colours FW is thinking you are using & put your own in if it's wrong.
