Exporting to pdf from v8.5

When i try to export to pdf format from within crystal reports, i get an error msg "failed to export the report".
Ive looked on the crystal decisions website and cant find any solutions.
Ive checked that ExportModeller.dll and Crtslv.dll are registered correctly (Knowledge base article c2008078)

does anyone have any suggestions?

Check the permissions on the directory you are exporting to?

But, i dont know where its actually exporting to! I dont get the chance to select a location.
I select pdf format as the format and disk file as the destination. I then select all pages and get an error msg saying "failed to export the report"

any other suggestions?

As far as I know it is being exported to C:\winnt\system32 (Windows 2000) if you have not specified anywhere.

Thats probably whats going wrong, ive only got read access to that folder, security's a bit tight on my pc!! i'll have to beg for access!!
