Exporting To Excel - Problem

Have any of the rest of you had trouble exporting data from Access queries to Excel? When I try to do this, I get error messages, and I cannot link from Excel to tables that have any of my custom functions included.

The functions seem to be causing the trouble - does anyone have any ideas on why these functions might not want to export? Do I need to make the result of the function some kind of string to make it readable? This is quite frustrating. Thank you!

What kind of functions ?
Are they in Excel or Access ??

They are in Access. For instance, I have one expression that takes a date field, and modifies it:

qryTV
TVNumber (PK)
TVStart (Date mdd-mmm-yy)
Expr3Wks (DateAdd TVStart +21d)

It won't export or link from Excel since my query has the Expression in it.
