I am exporting a crystal report to .csv format. Everything exports fine EXCEPT for the value produced by the subreport. Can I export the results from the subreport to a .csv file?

Harriet, Ottawa

The short answer is Yes.

It's dependent upon your version of Crystal, and which hotfixes you've applied, and how the subreport is laid out, and...

Apply all of the hotfixes to your CR install (crystaldecisions.com), and check this:

If those don't help, please post your version of Crystal.

subreports are not supported for this format in any version of CR up to and including v9.

I would suggested exporting to Paginated or regular Text, Word or RTF, but it would be a lot of work to get the 'separator' in place.

Ahhh, of course, Gecko, that just mioght complicate the structure, thanks... Been hitting on 3 cylinders all day...

I guess I was thinking of text files, I know that I've exported a delimited file with subreports before.

I forgot to resolve the separator issue, convert all fields to text using formulas, then drop them all into a text object with a comma between each, and a chr(13) at the end, that should do it.
