Exporting Subreports to multi sheets in excel

- SSRS 2005
- Excel 2003(Office 2003)
- Export Error: An error occurred during local report processing. An error occurred during rendering of the report.An error occurred during rendering of the report.

Hi,


I'm trying to create a main report that consists of 10 existing reports. The main report should have the capability of being exported to excel and each of the 10 reports should reside in an excel worksheets thereby having 10 worksheets in all.

So I grabbed those 10 reports and placed them in the main report as subreports. I placed each subreport in a rectangle and used the rectangle's Page Break property for the breaking of each subreport in each worksheet by checking "Insert after rectangle".

The problem I'm having is that when I try to export to excel, I encountered an export error(Export Error: above). This error started popping after placing the 7th subreport in the main report. Prior to that, there's no problem, all 6 subreport got exported to 6 worksheets in an excel file.

I'm thinking is there a limit in the export to multiple worksheets, is anybody out there successfuly exported more than 6 SSRS subreports to multiple worksheets in excel?


Suggestions, insights and solutions is higly appreciated.

have you checked that it's not the actual 7th report that's causing problems?

looking at the error, it sounds more like a problem in the report itself, maybe the subreport isn't set correctly?
