Exporting report into Excel

I am exporting a report to excel but the first column in the access report is transposed to the seventh column in excel. Is there a properties field that I need to adjust for the report to be exported correctly into excel?

check your underlying query for this report, make sure it's in the right order...

The query is in the right order but the data is being exported in a different order.
