Hi everyone
I am developing reports with CR7 professional. I have tried exporting a report for a user who has CR7 standard edition and gets the error 'cannot use data source - upgrade to pro edition'.
Question - is it possible to export professional reports to the standard version or must the user upgrade. I do not want to use compiled reports as the user may want to tailor the lay out.

thanks.

If you save the data with the report they should be able to work with the saved data, they just can't connect to the database.

The difference between Pro and Standard is the ability to use full ODBC, which is limited in standard. It boils down to a single dll which is called P2SOBC.dll. Of course, if you compile a report and distribute it, the full ODBC dll is installed as part of the distribution. This seems to imply that you have the license to distribute this full ODBC dll with a compiled report.
