Exporting path from PS 6 to Illustrator 10 = disaster

Hi, and please forgive me if this question has been answered many times already. I am getting short on time here and all stressed up. I have been looking in the forums and other places, and asked my buds here at work.

I was given a paper with a slogan and symbol that I had to re-create. As usual, the customer had no idea what font the text was or where they found the graphics they had been using, so I spent almost an hour finding the font, then re-created the main circles with the text and some stars in Illustrator. I then scanned the paper at 600dpi, hoping it would ease the job of tracing the graphics. But, it was already way beyond repair, so I used the pen tool and re-created it in Photoshop 6.

I then exported the path and opened it in Illustrator to add black where necessary. To my surprise (?), it came up as a grouped path object in Illustrator, meaning it was not grouped according to the menus. All I get when I select the path and stroke it, is an outline. All the details on the inside are missing.

So - to sum it up:

- The path I make in Photoshop and export to a file
- Opens as a grouped object in Illustrator, and I cannot seem to separate the parts again.

Can anybody help me with this? A bud told me Photoshop 8 would fix this. Well, ok, but we don't have Photoshop 8 here (yet).

I would appreciate any help a lot.

Sincerely,

Håvard

Never mind, I forgot to Ctrl+A to check if it was there (in Illustrator 10) after I opened the path file, and it was there all along! Excuse me, I'm off to find a rope.. :p Pleaes delete this thread (I couldn't find a button to do it?).
