Exporting Pagemaker to a PDF file - need HELP!

Thank you in advance to any who attempt to explain to me in easy terms how to export my Pagemaker document to a PDF.
I have Pagemaker 7, I have a 16 page newsletter saved in Pagemaker. I have the PageMaker book, however, it seems that I have a hard time understanding it because my efforts are not achieving what I need.
I first came up with the error to go to Acrobat Distiller printer properties, go to Adobe PDF settings, then turn off option "Do not send fonts to Distiller". However, I don't know where to begin. What's worse is that I thought I did the necessary changes and now come up with other errors.... YUK!
Can someone give me step by step instructions.
