exporting into Excel 8.0 and Excel 8.0 Extended

My report is correctly exporting into Excel 8.0. But when I try to export it to Excel 8.0 Extended in either tabular or non-tabular formates, the report does not export correctly. The columns overlap and do not appear at right places. It is the client requirement to make this report to be exportable to Extended format.
I am using CR8.5.

Exporting is never an exact science, and making sure that the fields within the report do not overlap is key.

I don't have an export to Excel 8 (rather Excel 97-2000) in CR 8.5, so you may have an old version of CR without the patch applied, in either case, patches often address exporting and there are help files from Crystal to help smooth out exporting:
