Hi Guys,
Just looking for some advice:

When I export an image as a transparent gif/png/jpg and import the same image into flash, I seem to get a blurred effect around the edges of the images where the full transparency should be. Am I exporting the images wrong, what type of transparency should I use, index or alpha.

Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
Aidan

You can only use alpha transparency in PNG files(and of course TIF, PSD etc).

For Flash, If you want the image to have a soft edge then go for PNG(though older browsers may not support them).

GIFs don't support alpha transparency, so you will have to select the colours to be transparent.

JPEgs don't support any transparency.

For the best results use the 'save for web' feature in v6 and up, this will show you a preview(s) of the file before you save.
If you use Fireworks, you can copy and paste/Drag and drop straight into Flash.

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.
