Hello all,
I have a database which is used to generate a report containing a number of graphs. I have a requirement to be able to transfer this report to powerpoint.
The report export options do not allow me to do this.
If I export in excel or txt format then I just get the raw data and not the graphs. I can export as Snaphot file but then the Snapshot viewer will not allow me to export to powerpoint (or cannot import from powerpoint).

At the moment I have to do a screen dump, and then paste and edit the resultant picture file....not very clever!

Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

I have exactly the same problem.

I have a number of users (secretaries) who run about 100 reports of mine every week, screen dump them, and paste them into Powerpoint for management reviews. The managers want to have all their reports in the same file, and be able to add their own slides and comments, so it "has" to be in Powerpoint. This is wasting a day and a half per secretary per week, and that is costing money!!!!!

There has GOT to be a way to automate this.

At the very least, is it possible to write a program to run a report, screen dump it and paste it to a powerpoint slide? Even this would be a poor solution, but would be better than what I've got now.

Since raising this I have found a partial fix to the problem. See Microsoft web site, Knowledge Base Article 259602.

This allows me to import SNP file to powerpoint but I am left with format problems as described in article....we are using Office 2000 so maybe later versions have solved this.

I'm still not finding an answer to this. I know that MS do not offer an export to Powerpoint option for an access report, but this would be so useful! I can export a report as a snapshot, but if there is more than one page, the effort to take it into powerpoint increases exponentially. I can export as HTML, but this does not export OLE objects, and most of my reports contain graphs . . . . .

Does anyone know of any third party suppliers who could provide an add-in for exporting a report to powerpoint, or who could provide a utility to convert a snapshot file to a set of powerpoint slides?
