I am trying to export a table in SQL to Excel. I have tried using DTS and also BCP to do this. No problem in exporting file except that some of the rows have null values in certian columns and when the file is exported to Excel, sometimes the data is row is shifted to the left where there is a null value and this makes the spreadsheet off.

Anybody know if this is a common problem and if there is a setting or something that I need to set or something else.

I have been able to export out to a text file and then import into the spreadsheet and there is no problem, but I would like to be able to do a direct export to Excel.
