Hi all,
First things first......I am absolutely new to Crystal Reports. So, please excuse if my problem sucks!!
I have a client who uses crystal reports at his end and my browser uses a plugin to display the report. I tried using the Export option and realised that the .doc and .xls report formats that are generated are of '95 format...whew!!...it's ages since people even stopped complainig about this!!.....neways I find that the exported Excel report does not render data properly. There are some blank columns occuring almost at arbitrary places. Some columns have have the wrong values appearing under them.
Then I tried exporting to the .rtf format. Although the formatting is more than satisfying in this case, the data is'nt. Peculiarly, a column displaying the length of an item in (feet/inches) does not display the inches part if it is a 2-digit number. For example 4'-10" appears as 4', but 4'-3" appears as 4'-3". The .doc format just skips the inches portion altogether!!
I think this guy was using Crystal reports 8.
Please help me out with your comments so that I can pass it on to my client.
Thanks in advance.
Vijay
