exporting data to excel and being able to refresh in excel 1

Hello, we are running crystal 8.5. I am trying to export a report from crystal into excel. What I am not finding is a way that I can refresh the report by opening excel and then refreshing the data in excel. Can anyone help?

An exported file isn't linked to it's data source, in this case a Crystal report.

Excel itself can query databases, and it allows for data to be refreshed, try:

Data->Get external Data->Create New Query
