Exporting data from MS access to Project.. help!

I need to import data from fields withing two MS Access tables (from the same database) into one MS project.

What would be the best way to do this whilst preserving the data integrity?

I have had a look at the standard Project "open file click to change filetype to MS Access" option, but it appears to be quite problematic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
