Exporting Cross Tab to Excel

When I export a cross tab report into Excel, the column headings (from the cross tab) appear at what looks like page intervals in the Excel file.

For example:

Row 1: Col1 Col 2 Total
.data
.data
.data
Row 50: Col1 Col 2 Total
.data
.data
.data

I want the columns headings to only appear in Row 1. Any thougts would be a great help.
