with an s8700 is there a way in reports to export the Button Assignments? I ran the export data (station) and the buttone assignments are not listed.
Thanks

If you create a template in ASA, then open the template, there is a button section on the general tab.... though you might be wanting to look at all the data.

As you realize, exporting only exports station fields.

Carefull if using templates to mass change buttons, make sure you know what you are doing otherwise you might accidentally change a field that you didn't intend to change.

If you just want to look at the data, in the advanced section of ASA, run a report and enter disp sta xxxx;disp stat xxxx (xxxx being your extensions)then export it etc...
I import my station list into excel and format the data so that I can paste my report string into the report field (disp sta xxxx;disp stat xxxx;disp stat xxxx.

Thanks,

We had the same situation and we had one of out Programming guys write a script/batch file that ran the disp station xxxx command running off an excel spreadsheet we had of all the stations.

He was then able to print to a text file and grab the buttons for each extension and set it out in spreadsheet for us to read a lot easier.

I guess if you use some type of automation program you could do this a lot easier....

Thanks..

You can use the "Print Button Labels" option in ASA (in the General tab) and either printer the information or send it to a file.
