I have an access database that I want to link to an excel spreadsheet. I have linked the spreadsheet into the database, which is where I want to amend the data. The data is going to excel fine. I am then importing the data from the spreadsheet into another table in the database that runs queries and reports. The problem is in order for all my formulas to work in excel and show up in the import I have to go into excel and save the spreadsheet manually which is defeating the purpose. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

have all your data in your database, and on the excel spreadsheet, just have a function to pull the current data out of your database...

I really don't see why it would be necessary to use excel as an intermediary store...

I suppose if you REALLY wanted to do this, then you can use a shell/api call to save the excel spreadsheet...
