exporting address book

I have exported my address book in outlook express from my lap top to my desk top.
I have (in addition to main contacts) 2 groups within the address book - 1 contains 88 contacts but on importing to desk top only imports 3!! - the other has 37 contacts but only imports 37!!
Has anyone a solution?
Or can I copy some other way to save inputting each individual contact again?
If not, how can one print out the individual contact information?
