Does anyone know of a way to export an access queries result set into an Excel spreadsheet that I have created.

If the resultset is to be exported to a continous range in the excel sheet, then there is a

Docmd.TransferSpreadsheet method to check.

And of course there is the other way around, to import from Access to Excel.

With the DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet method is there a way to have the information that is generated from the query that is being sent to excel imported into a specific worksheet and have certain records fill certain fields. The TransferSpreadsheet method sends the results from my query to a new worksheet like it is suppose to. I just need to be able to show the information in a specific format.

You can send it with the DoCmd then once in Excel move or format as you need.

> have certain records fill certain fields
No, not with the DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet! For a record 's field to fill a certain cell you 'll have to use automation.

>show the information in a specific format.
If the resultset is to be exported to a continuous range in a already formated sheet, then give it a try, 'cause it works although help states that you'll get an error!
