Is it possible to export/save just a report? I would like to send reports to someone else and they dont have the database. Im trying to export in accessformat but it keeps telling me it doesnt find the appropriate database, so it seems it wants to save the entire db.

help?
help!

Run the report as preview, then from menu, file, export. You'll see various file formats to export to. Save, then attach in email to your co-worker.

I dont know what you mean by preview but I guess it is when i run the report by just clicking it?! I've done this and then menu, file, export. What I have to choose from is access, excel, html, xml, various text. When i choose access it only works to save it to another database and not the report as it is.

Check out the OutputTo method in Access help. You can output a report in rich text format (provided you don't have graphics on your report)......

Have you considered Snapshot Viewer - it is great for sending Access reports to users who do not have Access. It also retains all the formatting (lines, etc.) which a Save to Word would strip out. Each user needs Snapshot Viewer if they don't already have it - but it is a free download. Read more here.

thanks for the tips! I think I'll go with the RTF as the one Im sending it to is rather reluctant to do something himself.
