exported animation from fireworks not animated 1

HI all.
I am new to this and I cannot figure out how to animate the image I created in Fireworks in dreamweaver. The animated gif file that was created in fireworks has 3 frames and the export wizard created 3 separate gif files ( frames to files). How do I get the 3 gif files to animate in dreamweaver?
Sorry - couldnt search - might have been an answer already but the search function is down for maintenance.
Any help is appreciated. thanks

Have you tried using the export wizard from the file menu to export an animated gif etc?

yes - seems that I had some layers in there that werent supposed to be there. Created a new file with 2 frames and exported - worked fine. Thanks Charlotte.
