Export yes/no field to Excel

I am using the standard File; Export to export a table to Excel. The table includes a yes/no field formatted as a check box. Running Access 2000 under Windows ME on a Dell desktop it works fine. But running Access 2000 under Windows XP on a Compaq laptop it runs, exports all the other fields OK, but fills the yes/no column in Excel with FALSE, regardless of the content of that field in the table. On both platforms the results iare the same for exporting to Excel 2000 and for exporting to Excel 3 (remember that?).

Any offers? (Apart from using a decent database instead of Access!)
