Export Utility question

Hi,

Knowing that the version of the Import utility cannot be earlier than the version of the Export utility used to create the dump file. As I 've currently worked on the Oracle9i project (it should be supported and compatible with Oracle8i version 8.1.7). Just wanted to know the version of the Oracle8i Import utility is the same as Oracle9i Export utility? And, how to check the version of these utilities?

Exp tells you the version when it starts up e.g.

>exp

Export: Release 8.1.6.2.0 - Production on Tue Mar 5 10:26:27 2002
